Statkraft operate, maintain and asset manage Andershaw Wind Farm on behalf of Greencoat UK Wind PLC who purchased the wind farm from Statkraft in September 2021. The project, the first wind farm Statkraft constructed in the UK, has been operational since 2017, consists of 11 turbines with an installedcapacity of 36.3 MW, and can power the equivalent of approximately 25,000 homes with renewable energy.
Andershaw Wind Farm provides a community benefit fund worth £91,250 per year. The projects that receive funding focus on community improving activities such as upgrading infrastructure, securing sustainable development and implementing training, or advancing education.
